Nature spirits
As far back in history as we can trace, mythical beings have always been depicted in works of art, stories, religion, and imprinted on the human psyche. There are those who have professed in their life time to have seen and witnessed that these beings of legend do exist.
From a child, my fascination in what people may term as fairies, always engaged my imagination, and I adorned my walls and bookshelves with illustrations from some of the great classic artists, such as, Arthur Rackham, Florence Harrison and Margaret Tarrant.
As I developed into adulthood, my connection to all things mythical would begin to take on a deeper meaning. I have learnt that nothing in this life is random, but a series of events taking us to a deeper understanding of life.
In 2008 I sent a prayer out into the universe. I asked if the sum total of my life’s experience and the soul purpose of my life could now be sent. I did not stipulate what I wanted, but asked that whatever I would receive, would not only help me have a different way of being, but would help all living beings.
Not long after, I had what may be interpreted, as a mystical experience. My life was shown to me, like a video being fast forwarded. It skimmed over my interest in fairies, my work as a spiritual medium, photographing orbs, and a woodland, which I have been walking in for the last thirty years, and many more significant things, which have happened to me over the years.
I was told that now was the time for me to go to the woods with my camera, that my destiny lay in this wondrous place. I was also guided to take my daughter-in-law, Boo.
From the minute we stepped into the beech Wood Tunnel, the pages of a story would unfold, one which would lead us to a secret of nature.
The white lady of the lake appeared under a pine tree. She opened the door into the sacred spirit of nature. From this dimension, a host of spirit beings emerged. They allowed us to photograph them, but more than that, they brought us to nature’s wisdom and a long held secret in the wood.
These nature spirits emerged from orbs, mists and plasma, forming into clear images on our photographs. Now Boo and I can see them with our own eyes.
This objective reality, we were now witnessing, had been mirrored in the wonderful art I had always been drawn to. The above artists had often painted their fairies surrounded in bubbles, and forming from mists. I believe the human psyche has this knowledge etched into their soul, and that creativity can produce truths though our inspiration.
Now my walls are covered in photographs, painted not from a brush of the imagination, but a reality I have witnessed and experienced. Now I wake each morning, knowing that nature spirits are not things of legends and fairy tales, but a universal truth.
The book has been written, and the library of photographs sorted. At present I am seeking a publisher who will bring this incredible story to you. It is a true story, which brings us all back to a re-connection with nature, a healing, and a journey to the fundamental meaning of love.
